This was the last communication I had with him. He sent it to me after he was called out here.
I never responded, I don't want anything to do with him.

Plus, now he's saying I sent him a bad mod...
He disputed the charge with his bank claiming he never received the package.
I won the dispute and his bank paid PayPal so I did get paid, but PayPal charged me 60.00 in fees!

I was a Baltimore street kid for 2 decades.
That's about 1 1/2 decades too long to not be known in the streets as a street kid.

I can decipher the the above email in "addict."

They speak the same language as us but their words often have different meanings than ours.

A quick for instance:

"Bro, that's some sick fukin dope" means the "H" is "good" even though the word "sick" would be unattractive to a normal person when describing how a drug is.

Here is my email decipher:

"I didn't do this (the addict version of me did), I could give you all kinds of reasons (I went on a bender and spent everything I had, pawned everything I owned, I owe scary people money, etc... etc...), I don't expect you to understand. I'm doing this for ME! (I'm back on the 12 step program that I have been through dozens of times already. That 12 step program also somehow works!!!, I swear!!!!), send me a PayPal request (I'm about to go crash out and wind up in prison or rehab anyway, you'll never see the money or hear from me again), I'm apologizing (only because that same genius 12 step program that totally works but done failed on me 3 dozen times requires it!)

The entire program isn't running on logic.

Someone who is 100% physically disabled and in pain management is "still an addict" because they are taking a prescribed medicine... as prescribed.

But some guy all geeked out looking in the corner who just drank six cups of coffee and smoked a pack of cigarettes in less than two hours is somehow "totally clean"

Yep, sounds like typical con artist to me. If that dope has a legit job, it's probably in a boiler room, scamming senior citizens out of thousands at a time. More than likely, the guy is involved in something much more shady.

But I did for a number of years, but now with as broken as my body is I do take pain medication because I can't hardly get out of bed with the pain I have all throughout. If you were in the streets doing the hard stuff I don't care what the instructor at the front of the room tells you, if you stop off at a bar to have a beer with your buddies from work you're not going to end up back on the hard drugs that way.
If you take a hit off the J at the party you're not going to end up in an abandoned house downtown strung out in two days.
Yet, they claim you will as if it's already set in stone somehow.

I often wondered if the people who slipped up would have if it weren't for the instructor telling them that they were definitely going to slip up because everyone does. Like, if he said "Only the weak slip up" instead would they have slipped up? We'll never know.

They preach the gateway drug theory even though they call out the wrong gateway drugs.
Alcohol or pot aren't really gateway drugs.

They are simply the next drugs in line of the long progression of use that starts with nicotine and ends wherever you end it.

I can say with 100% certainty that I've never met a junky that didn't smoke cigarettes.
I've met a shitload of junkies during my Baltimore City travels. (From 1997 -2007)

I've met MANY junkies that couldn't stand the taste of alcohol and couldn't drink it.
I've met junkies that avoided pot because it made them paranoid.
I never met a junky that didn't want to bum a cigarette.

I'm one of those that couldn't do pot. I did it 3 times my whole life. I didn't get paranoid but I throw up continually and then lay paralyzed for hours, I couldn't move. After the 3rd time, that was enough for me. I always just figured I have some sort of allergy, but who knows. I do remember the "H" wasn't good unless you threw up right after you slammed though lol. I think as far as relapses it's like you say, we will never know. Like tonight I had a glass of wine with Thanksgiving dinner and yep I'm eyeing the rest of the bottle but I also know I could easily polish that off and open another but I won't. It all depends on the person. But even if I did for one night, It's certainly not going to throw me back into the streets looking for a fix.
