Big brown spots on cotton?

I've been vaping for about 6 months and have a weird thing happening.

The only thing that has changed is a different kind of coil. Same cotton, same juice, same rda.

What is it, and how do I prevent it? It does effect the flavor negatively.

Maybe a pic would help. Sweetener tends to caramelize on coils and cotton which is what ruins faster them over time

Thats just the thing. Ive been vaping the same liquid for weeks and havent had this problem. I change my cotton about every 2nd day.
