Vendor Description:
This decadent, bold, yet multi-layered liquid is almost more reminiscent of an espresso based dessert than your traditional tiny cup of Italian coffee. The finest quality espresso beans allow for a multitude of subtle flavor notes.
On the INHALE, I get strong, almost too bitter espresso. But, a good espresso.
Mid-Inhale to beginnning EXHALE, I get the nutiness and almost chocolate nature of the black truffle. Combined, it creates a very distinct liquor type taste, as I get almost exactly with Patrón XO Cafe. (Description of this: 100% agave silver tequila with coffee to create a slightly sweet, full-bodied and assertive liqueur that's perfect for those who take their coffee black) Ergo: A coffee liqueur type. I'm not familiar with truffle, so I don't know if this is just simulated from it or not. Side note: USA versions of "Italian coffee" typically have amaretto almond liqueur and/or
Kahlua® coffee liqueur, and use whipped cream.. I do have all of these. I don't think it's Kahlua I'm tasting though. It may be the amaretto almond flavoring I taste to add to the nuttiness.
Full exhale, a slight bit of sweetness, (the cream) which rounds it all out, and makes it more enjoyable. Sweetness lingers a bit, so it melds with the next inhale (for chain vapers
)
Via lots of google searching, I find FA to have the best espresso, and from what I can tell, the only black truffle. I'm really not sure about the cream.. It's very very subtle, and just minimally sweet. I'll probably give it a go with a minimal amount of whipped cream to test this theory.
So, my thoughts are, as some of these I'm unfamiliar with:
1% FA Espresso (to start, I've seen a max usage of 2%)
.5% FA Black Truffle (I have no idea what this number should be honestly)
.25% TFA Almond Amaretto
.5% TFA Whipped Cream (will also try FA Fresh Cream, and TFA Sweet Cream)
Can anyone give any insight on what the black truffle should be/start at? I won't be able to order the espresso or truffle for another week or two, but want to have an initial game plan ready
