Vendor Description:
This decadent, bold, yet multi-layered liquid is almost more reminiscent of an espresso based dessert than your traditional tiny cup of Italian coffee. The finest quality espresso beans allow for a multitude of subtle flavor notes.

On the INHALE, I get strong, almost too bitter espresso. But, a good espresso.

Mid-Inhale to beginnning EXHALE, I get the nutiness and almost chocolate nature of the black truffle. Combined, it creates a very distinct liquor type taste, as I get almost exactly with Patrón XO Cafe. (Description of this: 100% agave silver tequila with coffee to create a slightly sweet, full-bodied and assertive liqueur that's perfect for those who take their coffee black) Ergo: A coffee liqueur type. I'm not familiar with truffle, so I don't know if this is just simulated from it or not. Side note: USA versions of "Italian coffee" typically have amaretto almond liqueur and/or
Kahlua® coffee liqueur, and use whipped cream.. I do have all of these. I don't think it's Kahlua I'm tasting though. It may be the amaretto almond flavoring I taste to add to the nuttiness.

Full exhale, a slight bit of sweetness, (the cream) which rounds it all out, and makes it more enjoyable. Sweetness lingers a bit, so it melds with the next inhale (for chain vapers :p)

Via lots of google searching, I find FA to have the best espresso, and from what I can tell, the only black truffle. I'm really not sure about the cream.. It's very very subtle, and just minimally sweet. I'll probably give it a go with a minimal amount of whipped cream to test this theory.

So, my thoughts are, as some of these I'm unfamiliar with:

1% FA Espresso (to start, I've seen a max usage of 2%)
.5% FA Black Truffle (I have no idea what this number should be honestly)
.25% TFA Almond Amaretto
.5% TFA Whipped Cream (will also try FA Fresh Cream, and TFA Sweet Cream)

Can anyone give any insight on what the black truffle should be/start at? I won't be able to order the espresso or truffle for another week or two, but want to have an initial game plan ready :)

%2.25 flavoring? That's the lowest I've ever seen.

Hello, I'm also interested in deciphering BFF but I'm afraid this is going to need the help of a pro/master.
The official flavor notes of black flag fallen are english toffee, black truffle cream, chocolate, honey, black walnut and espresso.

I've recently bought FA's black truffle specifically for this purpose and I tell you it's horrendous! Very strong gasoline-like aroma.
I tried a mix anyway with what I had in hand: TPA english toffee, FA black truffle, FA fresh cream, TPA d-chocolate, IW honey, IW walnut, TPA pecan and FA espresso. The result was disappointing.

@Adonlude it turns out FA black truffle needs even less than 0.25%!

I'll be diluting the truffle starting with 1 drop / 5 ml PG and see from there.

When I contacted the U.S. Supplier for FA, inquiring about the black truffle (to see if ANY us vendor had it) he immediately inquired if I was trying to recreate BFF, so I know that's the right track. I do believe it's only going to be 1-2 drops per 5-10 ml, as its what's giving it the earthiness, which is mild. I still haven't been able to order any, bills have been tight. @dist1, did you order from the states?? I'm going to crack this one, or die trying! Lol

I ordered it from Italy directly off FA's site as it wasn't available in Greece where I live.
Re your supplier response, well, it only goes to show that others are looking to crack BFF as well, it doesn't confirm anyone was successful with it :D

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant I'll use the diluted [1 drop / 5 ml] as a flavoring! It's that strong! Out of that bottle I'll use a few drops into the actual mix.

But in all honesty I don't think this is the black truffle used in BFF. Perhaps they're using their own extraction.
Anyway the truffle is only a piece of the puzzle, how about we crack the rest and leave that for last.
It is strange that there's not even a single recipe attempt floating around the web.

Wondering if @HeadInClouds has been intrigued by BFF or not.

While I was vaping BFF today I got a flashback of FA Tiramisu Irish Cream.
I don't have the bottle anymore so I can't confirm it but my memory says it could be a main component!

It's a long time since you started this thread, and I was wondering if you had any progress.

I am actually interested in BFR, but they are quite similar.

Just to add my 2-cents, I believe that Coffee Kona (i.e. TPA) is a key to both recipes (somewhere between 0.15% - 0.25%).
