Amazon quietly kicked off its Black Friday deals by changing the name of its Daily Deals to "Happy HoliDeals" and not making a big deal about it. However, if you look at the URL, you can see "Black-Friday" is right in there, so there's no question this is the official start of Amazon's Black Friday sales and savings.
If you browse its HoliDeals landing page right now, you can see Amazon has discounted hundreds of items ahead of Black Friday. Since it's a repurposing of Amazon Daily Deals, expect the item turnover to be high as new deals are added and old ones removed every day. That doesn't mean all the deals are one-day only: there are plenty of chances to save on Amazon before Black Friday, they're just not so nicely packaged and categorized.
