Sounds like you might be getting eliquid in the center hole. You can get a better, longer lasting tank for not much more than a couple packs of cigarettes. Don't give up, it's not worth it.

This ^^^^^

Those little atomizers are difficult to fill without getting e-liquid in the chimney, and it doesn't take much. You might consider upgrading to a Kanger Protank 3 Mini or Aerotank Mini. The former can be had for about $15, the latter for about $20. They're still a bit tricky to fill, but not as bad as what you have, IMO.

Replacement Kanger VOCC (Vertical Organic Cotton Coil) heads for either are only about $2. I'm using bigger tanks, sub-tanks, RTAs and even RDAs, and still go back to my little stick mod and Protank 3 Mini for on-the-road use or when I just want to lighten up on the vaping a bit.

Definitely don't give in. You will really like and get much better performance with a Protank II Mini, or even a Nautilus Mini. A 10-20 dollar investment will pay off in a much better tank/coils with none of those other issues. Good Luck!

Someone within the last week mentioned on VU that mods were created because of "junk" like Egos. Sort of a joke, but not really.

There's a common progression of vaping. You take the cheaper/easier ways out until you can't take it anymore and buy better equipment. Sounds like you're at that stage. Try not to look at it as money wasted. You're learning as you go, and more importantly, not smoking as you learn.

Granted, getting a mod with a removable battery and a decent rebuildable atomizer is more expensive, but it's a way better experience. Or hey, keep buying coils. I freaking hate Kanger, but I'll readily admit that their new/round SSOCC coils last a loooooong time compared to their older versions.

Just two suggestions:
--Yes, buy a mod that accepts an 18650 (a legitimate Samsung, LG or Sony batt ONLY).
--Think about always having backup hardware on hand, so if something breaks, you can keep vaping. As @DevAuto succinctly points out, "You don't want a single point of failure."

What atomizer are you using? I have several Aspire K1's that are great. As with any atomizer be careful when filling. If those work for you consider upgrading to a bigger battery, the Vision Spinner is really nice and not much bigger than the standard ego and they last a lot longer. I still use the spinner/K1 combo when out and about and have a iJust2 for home use and its is great.

I would not have expected this, but I like my Protank 3 Mini, particularly with the AFC base, much better than I do my wife's Nautilus Mini.

The ones I posted are SIX bucks. SIX. Hard to pass up if you're looking for a stealthy MTL vape.
