Bottom stuck on switch mod v2

I have a buddy who has a switch mod v2. Im thinking about buying it, but the bottom of it that normally screws off wont come off. Any advice on how to get it off?

Take the battery out, put it in the freezer for awhile, then try taking the screws out.

Turns out the threads that the bottom of the button go onto are crushed. Gonna see what i can do to fix it
