Brand specific flavor match

Forgive me if this has already been asked before. Ok so if I'm trying to diy match a flavor that I really like, is there any way to find out what types of pg/vg they use and possibly even what brands of flavors?
Obviously I doubt they're freely giving up there recipes but I'm basically wondering if there's a way to tell these kinds of things? For instance, I really like this lava flow by Naked 100 and ice noticed their flavors are very lightly tinted yellow. Can that tell me anything about what kinds of ingredients they're using?
I really appreciate any kind of help and just as a disclaimer, I'm only trying to make these for myself and as a way to kinda learn the ropes. If any of my questions were simple or dumb I apologize. I'm a newb

Many have started DIY for the sole purpose of cloning their favorite e-juice but most have not had success.
You will end up eventually buying and trying like hundreds of different brands/flavors.
The rabbit hole for DIY can go very deep.
But the good news is that you will eventually make some mixes that are really good.
Especially considering how many recipes are posted around here and elsewhere.
The "yellow tint" is usually just flavorings and/or NIC changing color after some period of time.
But certain mixes will stay fairly clear.

You should learn the basics so you need to spend some time doing some DIY research first.
All your questions have been answered here many times and some of the threads are as "stickies" at the top.
Many good threads here on VU for DIY beginners but you need to do lots of reading IMO.

not a dumb question at all I think we all ended up trying DIY to try and make our favorite vapes or because we could not find a favorite. there is not a massivley huge difference in PG/VG but you might find a preferred vendor. I personally like essential depot for those because I can get the volume I like at a price I like but for beginner mixing anything the normal flavor shops have will be fine. the yellow tinting of the liquid Im going to go on a ledge and say its probably the nicotine not the flavoring. to find out what flavors they are using is going to be hardest and Ill give the answer no one wants to hear, I bet they use all of them haha. hopefully someone here will read this that has tried it and has gotten close. I read the description on breezy and luckily it seems pretty straight forward strawberry, coconut and Pineapple. Id buy up as many different brands of those 3 flavors as I could and I bet you come close enough or end up making something you love even more with the help of all of us Ive been vaping a lot of coconut and pineapple lately so this has my interest. there are so many flavors its hard to say this company uses these flavors and those guys use these ones but there are not so many you cant eliminate them by trail and error. good luck !

and this is really the most important part but I noticed @Heabob was typing when I was so I read his comment before I kept typing haha. but if you decide to try it out make sure you understand what you are doing first and how to do it safely. Heabob is also correct about the rabbit hole. its a long deep hole lmao ! but luckily you will meet a lot of great people and learn a lot down here in this little nook in the magical internet. most likely you wont clone your current favorite but I bet you make something better that is tailored to you.

Yup, he's gonna have to buy all of them.
Funny I've never tried playing around with this combination of flavors yet.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm well aware of doing tons of research to try and learn my other hobby is reef keeping and let's just say I read enough to drive a sane man crazy.
I just wanted to ask more experienced people who have already been where I am. The flavors I've tried have been all over the place and I guess that's mostly what I was trying to avoid. For instance I got a free sample called red bullet (I'm sure you can guess the imitation) and it literally was so gross I threw a brand new coil away! It tasted like robitussin and copper. How someone could take the time and effort to package that and sell it is way beyond my understanding.

Thanks for your time. I was thinking it could be the nicotine that changed the color as well, but once I looked a little further I noticed that even 0 nic juice was tinted fairly dark in some cases. But again that got me wondering why do some juices with close to the same flavors have completely different colors to them? I'm guessing from your guy's answers it's the brands of flavors you use.
Either way I'm enjoying the learning process and I haven't even gotten hands on yet so I'm pretty excited about what's to come.

you should try the super concentrate pineapple man its good, reminds me of the white gummi bears so not true to nature pineapple but its so good with some TFA coconut extra... soon as I do my morning chores Im going to play around with this idea sounds good

Reef keeping is way more complicated than making DIY e-juice IMO.
DIY might be more akin to keeping a small fresh water aquarium by comparison.
But the salt water stuff... no thanks...
I read tons of stuff before I started making juice.

Finding the brands and flavors you like best can take some time though, and also be a bit frustrating sometimes.
The easiest way to start is by using simple fruits, and 1 or 2 flavors only, at least when you're dabbling around.
Or simple fruit + vanilla + cream combos.
At least you may be able to make something you can vape while you experiment with others.

Because when mixing different fruits together it can be difficult to get the balance just right and it usually takes longer to get there.
Starting instead with recipes posted by others that sound good to you may work but isn't a guaranteed success as taste buds often differ from one to another.

My experience has been that when you try to clone some commercial ejuice, your chances of successfully doing so are 50/50... or less. On the other hand... if you try a mix for a flavor or flavor combo that you haven't yet ever tasted in a commercial ejuice, your chances of success go WAYYYYYYYYYY up -- it's easier to succeed and make something really tasty if you don't have anything to compare it to.

But, when trying to clone some commercial ejuice... even if you don't succeed, you might end up with something that's good in its own right -- which is exactly what happened with my mix "Smocha" -- I was trying to clone Pipe Sauce's Long Bottom Leaf. Failed miserably... but the Smocha is pretty damn tasty anyway.
