Chelsea Peretti, who has portrayed Gina Linetti for the past five seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Fox, will exit the show during Season 6 - but she will probably return as the character in future episodes.
Announced by Peretti on Twitter, she made the send-off in the most Gina way possible: by quoting the letter Emmy Rossum wrote when she announced she was leaving Shameless last month, bolding “relevant" parts like “I taught Emma to shave her legs” and “I tirelessly prepped the audition with my coach Terry Knickerbocker.” The full quoted letter can be found here.
