The Twisted Messes will take some pretty big coils. You could try doing some triple twisted 26g, or is the wire you have pre-twisted? You could also try just running some straight 26-28g in parallel with the twisted wire. Both will provide more surface area to come in contact with the juice. I'd also try turning the airflow down just a tad if it is wide open. It might be a touch warmer, but the flavor should improve. You could also bump the power up a little with the airflow open...what are you running it at?

If you want to stick with a single...I'd try 4-5 wraps of your twisted 26, and probably 7-8 wraps of the 24...both 3mm. They should come in around 0.3-0.4 ohms. I'd try the 24g first since you have plenty of room. Just make sure to use an ohm meter to make sure they are where you want them and also within your mod's range before you dry fire them. If that still doesn't get the flavor you want, try bumping the power up to 65-70w. Different juices and coil builds have their "sweet spot". Check out steam engine to help you get ballpark ideas when playing with wire sizes and types. The wire wizard tab will help more when getting into things like Clapton's.

All you can do is mess around with them. That's part of the fun, even though it can be frustrating sometimes...

If your feeling up for it, i have a dual clapton coil in mine and its just so good. This addy was really made for claptons and stapled/wide builds.
