So i just went to a shop and made a purchase on this atty because the threads on mine were shot from a nice drop to the concrete. I noticed that I'm getting the flavor of a dry hit when the cotton isn't dry. I took the top off and fire it and noticed that one of the coils is getting red hot and then all of a sudden it just caught on fire. What in the world is going on? This is not cool. I don't have the skills or supplies to do a rebuild. Please help me. How can I fix this without going into a shop?

Make sure you wash the atty with soap and water, rinse completely. Let dry. once you build your coils, fire them to get an even burn. Make sure you don't have the wires crossing, or touching the deck. Wick them once they burn even. This happens when they are not equally connected to the atty, when there is a sugar build up from juice or when one of the coils is shorting to the deck or to a post.

Ejuice is flammable, when I dry burn my coils they normally catch fire. What type of wick are you using? If there is to much wick then the coil might not be getting enough juice.

E-juice is flammable. I've had my Agat2 burst into flames when the cap is off. What atty are you using. I'm trying to imagine what you're talking about.

It's an IGO-W plus. The guy at the shop used those cotton makeup pads you can get at like sephora.

Ouch. Sounds like the shop did a poor build. You will either need to start developing the skills to build for yourself or move to attomizers which you can buy pre-built coils.

If you have no supplies and the shop made you a bad coil (which seems like the problem) I don't think there's a way to remedy your problem without visiting it again and having him make another or buying supplies to do it yourself. The wick and wire are fairly cheap and last a good while. I would let the person who made your coil know he wrapped a bad coil and he shouldn't be working there though lol. I recommend buying a bit of 28g and starting there, it's a good gauge to start with and I can show you some tips and help you learn to wrap your own coils if need be. Very easy and fun once you get the hang of it.

Post a pic of the offending build. Sounds like an uneven build (not necessarily a "Bad Coil".) Also you need to tell us the resistance of the build, and how much power is feeding it.

Are you wanting to learn the easy and dark rabbit hole of rebuilding?
If you can tie your shoes you can rebuild, seriously it is that easy.
what you will need.
A dowel, spindle, a coil jig, or a drill bit. 1-3 mm is a good choice of sizes if your hands are an issue pick up a kuro coiler or a clone FT has them in a set for SUPER cheap.

Wire.. 4-10 bucks for a spool, temco and lightning wire.
Snips... 4-5 bucks for a decent set or flat bladed nail clippers.
Screw driver.
ohm meter.
