Building with titanium

hello,
So I started building recently since I got my hands on some anarchist Kanthal wire & a building kit (kaos the ultimate builders kit)
And I also have a tube of "Thunderhead Creations" titanium wire 28awg 145mm rods Subhm builds - I really want to twist up some titanium coils - but I'm not sure if it's different in any way compared to Kanthal when building with it - do I not need to dry burn it?
Do I need to clean the wire before I use it?
Soap and water?
And I'm using tools to twist the coils up - do I need to space these or something ?

Wipe the wire with alcohol to clean before use. If you do dry fire it, be sure to keep the wattage low, and never let it heat up beyond it turning a dull bluish color. Okay, so I've tried making coils with this wire several times and I keep failing.

Either it's too small of a coil or it's too spaced.
It's not long enough to twist a big enough coil.
It makes this teeny tiny coils that I can't even use..lol

145mm is pretty short. Try using a machine screw to wrap leaving just about enough for the leg when starting. You can get annealed (less springy) and clean (I always wipe it down anyway but the wipe is still clean when I do) titanium wire from TEMCo on the bay for about $6 for 25ft shipped.

Has anyone mixed titanium wire with kanthal as the core or vice versa
