Just received my 2nd order from BCV. I'm super excited! I'm going to try the HIC recipe with strawberry and joy. I can never remember the actual name, but I have it bookmarked. I also want to try Grants custard. Let's see, I now have in my possession TFA- ripe strawberry and organic strawberry, dulce de leche, cotton candy, vanilla custard; FA joy, FW whipped cream, Cap sugar cookie v2 and INW donald bubble gum. This in addition to the flavors I already have. TFA toasted marshmallow, blueberry extra, brown sugar extra; Cap apricot and graham cracker, FW custard, and FA chocolate and cookie and INW biscuit. I told somebody here I had no graham, but I forgot I had it buried on my dresser. I'm not liking the smell of the FW custard so far. Hopefully TFA is better. Probably should've sprung for Cap but TFA had decent reviews. Grants custard actually calls for Cap, but hopefully TFA will sub ok. Are TFA and Cap percentages similar? I'm probably going overboard, but that's how I roll. LOL. BCV put a nice little handwritten thank you note on my invoice too. That made me happy.

I'm liking them too. Orders seem to ship super fast. I'm sure the fact that they're in NC and I'm in WV doesn't hurt, but three days with Veterans Day in the middle is pretty darn fast.

I seem to have mis-spoken. The Grants Custard recipe I was thinking of is not actually Grants Custard. I guess I'll have to wade through recipes. I found one that calls for vanilla custard and dulce de leche. Sound familiar to anyone? I'll have to check the recipe section.

Yeah, this was just a two ingredient recipe I think. I saw one that called for butter cream and vanilla bean also, but I don't think that was it.

Didn't care for FW Custard myself, and TFA Vanilla Custard is better, but CAP VC v1 is the best IMO.
I like FW DDL better than TFA tho, maybe it's just me cause lots of others like it well enough.
INW Donald Bubble Gum didn't taste like anything I expected so I gave up on it.
Some of the TFA stuff is pretty close to CAP amounts, at least good enough for a starting point anyway.

I have no experience here, so I'm collecting others' observations as well as making my own. I just threw together a custard recipe using the TFA VC, DDL with a slash of brown sugar and FW whipped cream. Not bad if I do say so myself. I'm sure it could use tweaking, but I'm satisfied for a first try. It's not steeped yet, either. The TFA Custard tastes and smells much creamier or more buttery than FW. FW had a much more eggy, pungent note to it. I haven't vaped it yet, though. I have a 5 ml sample of FW custard 2% steeping as I type.

I bought a large bottle of TFA VC, so it'll be awhile before I go through it probably. I'll try Caps next time.

If you do get CAP Vanilla Custard, get the V2, without the bad stuff in it!

I'm in the same boat as you, but 40+ years on analogs, so I don't much care anymore.
But the VC-V1 is still tastier than V2, although the v2 does work fine for some recipes.
Might be better to get a sample size of each one to test for yourself.

Yeah, I've read that the V2 has a lemony note to it. That's why I haven't bought that one yet. Not sure how I'd like it. I want know unless I try it, I suppose. Next time, BCV, next time... LOL.

BCV absolutely rocks. I ordered Wednesday at 11:47am and at 12:54pm received notification my order was shipped. Received it today (Friday)!! Of course with a sweet hand written note thanking me! Being an hour away they're almost a home town business.

You're right about the difference of the v1 and 2. I can't find a use for V2 that suits my weird pallette. I have to use custards in high percentages and V2 gets nasty for me.

Funny because I actually ordered/started with CAP VC-v2 and didn't try the v1 until later.
Had a hard time getting any Custard mixes that I liked before switching to v1.
Did the same thing with CAP Sugar Cookie v2 first, yuk, and v1 later, yummy.

I think I bought sugar cookie v2. I didn't even see v1 listed.

I'm not sure I like the container the vg comes in. It leaks as you can see. Otherwise it's all good. That's several vape mails put together.
