burnt cotton

hi guys,

everytime i vape on my mech mod, after a few tokes the vape becomes harsh and when i take out and inspect my cotton there are black charred marks where the coil was. how can i fix this?

i am using a mutation x v3 and i have all holes open so i know there is enough air flow.

should i use more ejuice?

or use more cotton?

any suggestions?

Make sure your cotton isn't too tight inside your coil, it should be snug but not tight, because remember cotton expands when you soak it

The next thing is to make sure that your wick is well saturated.

What type of wick are you using?

Easiest solution is to drip when it starts to get dry.
Depending on the setup, might have to drip every few hits.

I've got RDAs that need a drip every 3-5 hits, I have others that I can put a ML or more of juice in and vape from for 15 mins.

Don't go for huge hits right away. Try and figure out how many puffs you get out of X amount of drops etc... you should be able to tell when you are getting dry by feeling/tasting the cotton.

Like Zaroba, I can sometimes get 10 to 12 nice pulls off of 3 to 4 drops on my Tobh with a 24g 6 wrap setup. You just have to mess around with it to put it simple.

If there is to much wick it can do this and if there is too little it can. Just got to be right in the middle with it to maximize hits per drop ratio.
