Sorry in advance if there is already and thread on this, I couldn't find one.

So got this tank just before Christmas and didn't really bother with it as I was to busy with my drippers. So I decided to build some clap tons in there 26x32 awg 7 wraps on each coming out around .38 on a 2mm bit. I'm using organic cotton also.

I have no idea why I thought it might of been that they needed breaking in so I been vaping it for about 2 hrs now and nothing I get a tiny bit of flavour but mostly just burnt.

Cotton looks healthy, coils don't look black, so I'm lost really. Oh I'm vaping it at 47 watts also.

If any of you have any ideas I'd appreciate the help :)

Thanks Connor

Let's see a pic of your build. Wicking is the most likely culprit. What type of wicking are you using?

are you sure the coils arent hitting the chamber and causing a short. ive tried to fit claptons in a crius with NO LUCK. i know others have successfully, but when i tried they always hit the chamber and shorted and tasted just like you described

He used 2mm ID. Resistance sounds right. I'm using 2.5mm ID 28/32 Claptons in mine.

for me the id wasnt an issue i tried 2 and 2.5
it was the outer wraps
i would always have one of the 4 ends wind up hitting the chamber

Thanks for the input guys, Matt I think what you said was right that they were touching the chamber. I put the factory made coils in there last night and I seem to be having full flavour now, I guess I'll be going for the smaller builds in this tank.

Do you get a leak from the ring above the airflow on the Crius? Ever since the day I have received mine, whenever I refill it leaks from that are (not from the airflow, the ring above the airflow)

alot of people on here have had that complaint.
mine doesnt do that. every once in a whileit does, but not normally. in fact i dropped mine so much that the is now a 1/2inch gap between that ring and teh afc ring and still no issues

i have a white one an di think there is something different on the white ones

Your ceramic insulator is cracked :( One of mine has that problem, too. You can probably get a clone base from FT. Sadly, it has a better insulator.
