burnt taste

Hello, I'm a newbie to this forum so bear with me. I'm semi new to vaping and just upgraded from a kanger evod to a ipv mini 2 with artic tank that uses .2 ohm cotton coils. I've been having a lot of issues with it but the main problem is no matter what the airflow is, or wattage, I get a terrible burnt taste along with a very painful feeling in my lungs and throat. It usually doesn't happen with short draws, but if I take a long draw, even If its on the lowest wattage possible, it gives me an awful taste and pain. Any help is appreciated

I have 12 mg in it right now, I was vaping on 24 mg in my kanger with no issues. Its just the burnt tire taste draws that cause the pain

Have you tried a new coil? When you do make sure you prime it.

I have tried that yet, but the the coil I put in it was properly primed and broken in. Today, I cleaned everything out and dry burned the coil. I guess I'll try a new coil tommorow

I'd recommend going down to 6,and see what that does. High nic in a sub ohm tank tastes nasty to me, and causes a terrible burning sensation.

You can't really dry burn pre built coils, burns the cotton. Definitely going to get a nasty taste after that.

Hmm.. Well YouTube lied to me on that one... I'll get some lowered nic level juice and replace the coil and see what happens. I'll post what I find
