Captain Marvel isn’t coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe until 2019, but Marvel is prefacing the film with a prelude comic starring Nick Furry and Maria Hill.
As reported by CBR, Captain Marvel Prelude #1 was among the advanced solicitations for Marvel’s November comics. Written by Will Corona Pilgrim with art by Andrea Di Vito, the issue incorporates "life-or-death” missions undertaken by Fury and Hill (portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders in the MCU) that will directly lead to an appearance of Captain Marvel. This 32 page one-shot will run for $3.99 USD and will be released at some point in November.
