For royalty with special powers, Castle Town Dandelion’s Sakurada family is startlingly normal—and amazingly perfect in how all of its nine siblings get along. The older teens are unfailingly patient and responsible, while the younger children show an incredible amount of respect and admiration for their elders. They all seem to support each other wholeheartedly, too, even when pitted against each other in competition for rulership of the kingdom.
Not that the throne seems to be a big deal to the siblings—the fact that their dad is the king doesn’t appear to have significant importance. The most notable aspects of his job are taking a limo to a swanky castle every morning while the kids leave their typical Japanese apartment for school; hilariously showing up at family meals still wearing his crown even though he’s supposed to leave it at the castle; and being very fixed upon the idea of making sure all nine of his children are ready and capable of taking the throne. (Even the youngest, Shiori, who still is little enough to adorably repeat greetings that her eldest sister, Aoi, exchanges with town residents.)
