I heard it was one of these Avid Lyfe Able mod (probably a clone) with hybrid top cap.

You can see it wasn't hitting but he kept pushing the button and putting it in his face.
When I use any type of mech I hit the fire button away from my face and listen to see if it's firing first.

I wish I could have access to the mod, battery and topper he was using to do a "Vapetopsy" on it just to see what caused the accident.

I would expect to find operator error just from watching him fiddle with it prior to the explosion.

Just saying............................

I keep thinking about the video.

Granted that I can't see a lot of detail, it looks like a mech/tube mod to me.

The vent is normally in the bottom of the tube.

Not at the top/face end.

Got Questions I do.

Batteries usually swell then vent from the positive terminal.
When there is nothing but a hole between the positive terminal and the RDA the explosion takes the path of least resistance which is the big hole in the top with the RDAs threads being the least point of resistance.

Thanks Mr. Sick,

Not the first (or the last........sigh) time I was wrong.

That and I have ZERO experience in buggering up a mod so bad that it frikkiing blows up in my face!

Hybrid top cap mechs will be the first to be banned and they will work their way down from there.

You have to understand the way the USA works.

If a monkey can not work it then it is deemed unsafe for use by humans.

There are some REALLY stupid humans out there.:facepalm::facepalm:

Hence the warning in blow-dryers that says "do not use in the shower."
