Nvidia held a press conference ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, and unveiled a slew of new gaming hardware that should please fans of both desktop and on-the-go gaming. The graphics company pulled the wraps off an all-new RTX 2060 GPU for the "midrange" desktop platform as well as its new RTX line of mobile GPUs.

The RTX 2060 is not a surprise at all, and is eagerly anticipated since the $349 GPU is the least expensive RTX GPU to be released thus far, and costs about $200 less than its RTX 2070 sibling. Despite the "low" price it still supports Nvidia's next-gen technologies, namely ray tracing and DLSS (super sampling). Nvidia claims the RTX 2060 will be up to 60 percent faster in today's games than the GTX 1060. Both Founder's Editions and partner cards will start at $349, and they will go on sale on January 15th. There is also going to be a gaming bundle, where if you buy an RTX 2060 or 2070 you can get a copy of Anthem or Battlefield 5, but it's unclear how long the promotion will last. Stay tuned for benchmarks and a full review of this GPU in the future.
