CLR head for E-Grip

Hey guys,

I have a E-Grip OLED and I'm just using the replacement coil heads. I have no idea how to build coils or anything...

But I'm thinking about purchasing the Joyetech CL base and Ego-One CLR coil head.

The CLR coil head has a resistance of 1.0ohm.

Questions:

Ideally...I'd like to be able to purchase prebuilt and prewicked coils for it.

- Do I have to find prebuilt coils specifically made for the Ego-One CLR coil? How do I know which type of prebuilt coils to buy?

- Any other additional information I should know about? I just want the best vape for the cheapest price in the long term.

The CLR coils come prebuilt and cost the same as their CL counterparts. Juice flow is better and they can just be rewicked if you choose to. You can save the old ones to rebuild them at a later date.

So I'm slightly confused....

I was thinking I needed something like these?

So what you're saying is all I need to buy is extra cotton to rewick? And a something to dry burn the dirty coils?

You can rewick a coil a number of times before it needs replacing. It can be cleaned as well with an ultrasonic cleaner or boiling; but it is not advisable to dry burn because the coils are secured with a rubber grommet and they can burn and develop a nasty taste.

Fasttech has premade coils really cheap. Get them without the cotton and wick them with your own.

I may be wrong, because I only have the original egrip, but I don't believe you have to purchase the CL base, because I think that's what you already have with the egrip oled. The difference is that you can use ready-made ego one coils with that base . You can either buy the regular CL ego-one coils, or the rebuildable CLR ego-one heads. I have the ego-one CLR heads I use in another tank, and they're not that bad. Rather than rebuilding them you can just rewick a few times and then move on to another coil head (they're the same price as the CL coils). Or you can rebuild.

I believe the regular OLED uses the standard base. The OLED-CL comes with the CL base. The CL base will fit any of them. As will the RBA.

What is pictured is the pre-made coils for the RBA. They could be adapted to fit a CLR head I would guess but the legs attach in a different manner. With the CLR heads all you would really need to do is pull the cotton and replace it with new, clipping it even with the sides of the head. You can dry burn the coil by just screwing the base back into the Egrip and firing it a few times without a wick (provided you empty it first). It's simpler to wick than the RBA but doesn't have as free an air flow as the RBA as it uses the standard air flow system with the adjustable screw.

The original eGrip (without the oled) and the 1st version WITH the oled use the CS base. You can convert them, but you would have to purchase the CL base. Joyetech.us sells them for 4.99. I agree with @Lefty regarding the pre-made RBA coils and wicks. Actually not a bad idea. You would have to straighten out the leads, but if they're long enough, should work.
