Coil wrap direction

This is common knowledge to many, but I keep seeing videos wrapping the coil in the opposite direction for best grub screw contact, which also causes the cotton to twist in the wrong direction when they screw on the chimney of a Kayfun..
Note: You can also use a c.c.w. wrap for the north-south, just flip the coil. But always c.c.w. on the N-W orientation. So basically, if you always wrap c.c.w., you can't go wrong for either angle.

I experimented today with a 5/64 (.078" or 2mm) diameter since so many use that.
Nah, I went back to 0.1". More vapor. (8 turns, 28awg, 1.5 ohms)
I also went to a near by Sally's beauty supply. They had a smaller bag of Cellucotton and I just gave that a try. Interesting. It may make wicking a little easier than taking apart cotton balls. Taste seems cleaner. No dry hit yet. Not sure if I am getting a less dense taste. I'll have to try for a while. I seem to be able to turn up the power without too much heat, but there are a lot of variables that can affect that. Running a KFL+ at around 13W, coil reads 1.4 ohms.

I use 9 wrap, 3mm, 28g coils in my kayfun. Run it around 17 watts. I've played with many builds in that atty and that's what works best for me. Good to see others rocking a kayfun. I like my cloud gear, but if I could keep only one vape it'd be my kayfun.

3mm (.118"), yeah, slightly larger than 0.1". It's good to see someone else arrived at the same conclusion.
Then with 9 wraps you probably end up with around 1.8 ohms?
I don't think I can go above 14 watts without risk of dry hit using cotton. I often stay at 12.5 watts.
This Cellucotton however, seems to produce more cloud but thinner cloud, or thinning of flavor, if that makes any sense.
Maybe it is my imagination, or I need to adjust my wicking technique but I find myself turning up the power.
I'm currently using an iPV Mini.

I have a kayfun 3.1 which has more parts, connections and consequently resistance. It ends up at 2.1 ohms. The extra wrap and extra parts/resistance I think is what allows me to go a little higher in power before I get dry hits. Dremel'ing juice channels out a little, big diameter coils and a good wick job really let my kayfun run well with thick juice. I get warm, ridiculously flavorful vapor. As long as I vape, I'll have a kayfun in rotation.
