Color changing on outside of 18650 batt ?

I've had the same happen to VTC4s I used in my Nemmy long, long ago - never got a definitive answer on what to think, so I retired them to flashlight use. I'll move this over to the batteries sub to see if we can get an answer...

I think its ok. I have seen this pop up before and I have a couple sony's that have changed colors in spots. As long as its not burn marks or melting you should be ok.

I've also had this happen and also when using d in my Nemesis. Got a pair of VTC4 and they have patches of colour change just like that.

I had the same thing happen with vct4 when used in nemesis I got worried and retired them never did find out why it happened so will see where this thread goes.
