After a whirlwind week of Star Wars news capping with another celebration of its awesomeness at this year’s D23 Expo, I’ve been thinking a lot about the Dark Side of the Force. No, I’m not practicing Force Lightning or choking out Admirals. I’m thinking about where I fit in the spectrum of dark and light.
This week, we learned just a little bit more about one of its loyal disciples when new details about Kylo Ren surfaced. In an interview with EW, JJ Abrams described him as "Not your prototypical mustache-twirling bad guy,” and from what we know of him already, he’s certainly not. He seems a lot more complex, but until we see The Force Awakens play out, we won’t know how many layers of onion there are.
