Confused about nic bases

I've been making my own juice at zero nic, mostly to avoid the hassle of messing with the nic itself, but also because I wanted to step down to zero eventually. Now I'm seeing a VG base that's 1.5mg/ml. Kind of wanting that little kick of nic again, I just want to make sure I understand what that means. Would I basically just buy this VG base and use it as I was using plain VG before? So if I'm doing a juice that's 80% VG, I'd use however many grams of this base I was using before and end up with a 1.5 nic juice (or slightly less)? It seems the DIY calculators I see default to a nic base of 100mg/ml which I assume is a "pure" nic base and gets added/ calculated differently (which I was just ignoring before to do zero nic). Am I making any sense? Just basically don't want to poison myself! Lol

Pure is 1000 mg/ml... I'm currently going through supplies of 200mg, "normal" in the US is 100mg or 10% (that's why it's become a "default" in many DIY calculators) and UK/Euro has I believe a 72 mg/ml limit on EU purchases.

I cut mine down to 5 mg/ml for my DIY... pretty middle of the road "normal" for sub-ohming.
So, no... using a 1.5 mg VG in your DIY will not pose a problem.

To me... it would be too low.
For you (even with the small reduction as it's just in the VG component) it might be a surprisingly mild buzz... depending on your consumption rates and equipment. It might be nigh unnoticeable in a low consumption MTL set-up.
But I expect a cup of coffee would feel like more of a jolt. ;)

Hope that helps.

Thanks for reply. I went with 1.5 because a friend just gave me a sample of stuff that's 3 and it had my head spinning, haha. I run a cloud beast 8 cylinder at about 135 watts.

Yeah... depending on how often you hit it, you're chewing through a fair amount of juice with that set-up.
And if you're not a previous nic user... you're gonna feel it.
(If your eyelids twitch... it's too much nic. :p )

I take back my coffee quip. :D
