Converting iStick 50w into a Mech Mod - Help/Suggestion needed

Hello!

I am new to forums, but i did not find anything similiar so i'm posting my question here.

i got two "bricked" istick 50 watts... none of them worked even a month. i've been told that i will get replacement for both mods, but only shipping will cost me 70$+ so i just cba... i will just disassamble those and use everything useable.
anyways. i'm not here to complain about eleaf. they have a good service and fast replies. however, i just don't want them replaced because i don't think new ones will live any longer.

I will disassamble it and convert into a mech mod,
thinking of removing the circut boards and wiring and only using the 510 threading battery and the case itself.

question is: is there any button i can use under the original (outside chrome) button that exists in istick, or is there any chance i can remove the inside button from the circut board and solder the cables directly to it?

or any other/better suggestions?

P.S.
sorry for any spelling and grammar mistakes, english is not my mother language and i had not enaugh time for checking every word :)

If you can find a MOSFET that you can wire in there you can probably use the switch in the istick (unless the switch itself is mounted to the board and the button you press just pushes against the actual switch, in which case you might need to source a replacement switch)

I wouldn't try just wiring a switch inline between the battery and 510 connector though as the switch may weld itself shut and result in an auto fire situation.

as i understand, soldering a switch directly to battery without MOSFET will cause it to get extremely hot and/or even cause something to melt in there?

P.S. another thing i wanted to ask is:
i know it is bad to drain the battery too much it is even recommended not to go below 50%, but couldn't find what actually happens when you fully drain a battery, i`m guessing it just won't charge, or won't hold those mAh, or is it possible that fully drained batteries will explode or vent?

another thing, people using "kick" in mech mods, how is it even possible to make a short in a Nemesis Mech Mod for example?
and would a 1 second shot even cause vent or explosion?
