There are moments when you see a kid doing something foolish and can simply write it off as immature nonsense. Then there are the times when a kid steps over the line and you just know that someone needs to jump in before things get worse. Stealing a cop car is definitely the latter.
Everything starts out easily enough in Jon Watts' new movie – two pre-teen kids, Travis (James Freedson-Jackson) and Harrison (Hays Wellford), are out on a walk through some beautiful Colorado landscape, practicing their curse words. It is a funny, idyllic scenario. Or it appears to be. As it turns out, they're running away from home, and soon they come upon a seemingly abandoned cop car in the woods, one with the keys still in it. The opportunity is one that they simply cannot pass up. They go off joyriding and their lives will never be the same.
