Quick questions for those of you that have the Cosmonaut “CSMNT” RDA...

1) Does it really not transfer heat to the top cap?

2) Do you still think it’s worth buying with everything else available to us?

My CSMT was my favorite all day topper until I started squonking. It stays cool and it is easy to build on.

Why’d you set it aside when you started squonking?

I use to have one and it was a cool unit. I only used it as an RDA.
Mine didn't come with a squonk pin, But there were squonk kits available for it.
Don't know if available now though.

Squonking was not a consideration in their initial design and engineering, it was an “oh shit, we forgot about a large market segment.” Their solution was to replace the posts and give you a hollow pin that feeds juice below the new posts where in theory it is supposed to seep out from under the posts. Well, the posts obstruct juice flow and make it impossible to actually squeeze more than a tiny puddle of juice into the juice well. $20 wasted on their squonk conversion kit.

Another nice bonus, You can swap out the top cap to the Alpine RDTA allowing the use of a nonproprietary drip tip. There was a period that it was shelved until I purchased a second cap to make it complete again.

Damn... I was buying it only to squonk with... I don’t do much dripping anymore

Wait, I thought the squonk kit was an entire new post where the juice came out of?

1) Nope.
2) Fuck yeah!

Haha thanks man! I actually just ordered the blue one with the squonk pin... can’t wait to get it!! My biggest issues with RDAs is them getting hot. I buy so many and end up selling most of them before I find one I like...

These are bad ass RDA's. Never sqounked it and not even sure I have the pin but it is a great piece of kit worth having. I always run mine as a single coil and it kicks both flavor and clouds. Also takes a bunch of different 810 tips so if your dog eats it like mine you have options.

I like it so much I actually bought two. I don't squonk on them, but I am totally confident Vaping Biker's review is spot on:

I was seriously irked at the time, I bought the red top cap at the time to match the mod. I even took it to a shop that did builds to see if they could figure out what was going on. I am not sure if it was the posts that got mixed up or if the holes were blocked since the kit was all matched up in storage.

My only issue is that the air holes are a bit low, the coils sit high compared to them and you are not able to soak them before juice starts coming out the holes. My top cap is too lose, not able to close off the air holes without them leaking, might be because the RDA is well worn in though.

Nah... if the coils are only 2.5mm ID you can bend the legs of the coils so the coils are positioned at the exact same height as the air holes, and they will perfectly fit─and, if you do that, then IMO they vape better, but then you also have to be careful to not burn your wicks in half so it's a little bit weird if you haven't gotten used to this thing yet.

P.S., the O-ring of my top cap's airflow adjustment isn't too loose on my stainless steel version, whereas on my purple District F5VE Shawty cap, it is. But you can still order different O-rings online from various places so no biggie.
