Supplies cost far less than the RTA for the most part.

scissors, nail/wire clippers, kanthal (or stainless),drill bit or screw driver, ohm reader

why not just price what you want?
when I started building I bought an ohm meter wire and cotton balls.
the rest of the tools I had.

I didn't have drill bits so I cut up pieces of a wire coat hanger.

you can spend as liitle as 5 dollars on tools or as much and 30.
wire will run from 2$ for a few feet to 5$ for 50 ft
cotton balls? 99 cents a bag?
jap cotton? 8$ for 180 sheets.

do some price shopping and figure out what you need.

recommend the coil master or similar rebuilding pack..£30 (uk) (prob. $30 the way they love stitching us u.k. Vapers up lol)

Has coil jig, wire cutters, scissors, screw drivers, pliers, tweezers x2 (1 with ceramic tips) and also comes with wire & sometimes cotton!!

Everything you need basically in a handy pack....I was forever hunting for drill bits, pliers etc saves me loads of time lol

Ebay has coil building kits from $10.00 to over $60.00 for a nice one with a quality ohm reader. They have all the individual tools also.

You probably have everything you need at home except for the kanthal!

What is the advantage of an omh reader over looking on my mod? And do I really need it or is it nice to have?

Dollar Store! Check it out.

Must have tools: Something to cut the wire, something to wrap the wire around, and something to cut the cotton.
Nail clippers (cut the wire) $1 at the Dollar Store
Flush Cutters (cut the wire) $5-10 on amazon/ebay
Scissors (Cut the cotton) $1 at the Dollar store
Precision Screwdrivers (Wrap the wire) $1 at the dollar store, or about the same at walmart
Coil Jig (wrap the wire) $5-15 on various sites

Nice to have tools:
Needlenose Pliers: $1-5, sometimes at the dollar store if not a couple bucks more at a hardware store
Teflon/Nylon coated pliers: $5-10, can find at a crafts store or internet
Ceramic Tweezers (very helpful): $5 online
Drill: $15-60 depends on what you get, but you don't need one and you certainly don't need a great one

Materials:
Wire you can get at about $5 a 100' roll for cheaper stuff, then you can up to $20 for the same thing of higher quality (lasts longer and more uniform).
Cotton you could grab cotton balls, but I like KGD cotton pads, just easier to work with IMO, and then there's Mugi which is like KGD but I havne't tried, cheaper though. You could go cotton bacon which would last me maybe a month on a $5 pack, where my $12 box of KGD has lasted me 8 months so far and still not empty.

Ohmmeter, not necessary as long as you're not pushing limits and you have a good regulated mod that displays that information. It's still highly recommended but if you say stick to .3Ω+ you shouldn't have to worry.

All in all if you have a good regulated mod and are sticking to simple builds you could get away with spending under $15 I'd think most of that being the wire/cotton.

Whoops missed out ohm checker too!!
If you have a regulated mod you don't need an ohm Meter..... Put on mod and push the bottom .... Bam.... .13 ohms bam .50ohms. .... Easy as that.... Most will tell you too low ohm.... So make coil smaller..... Not that difficult....

It wasn't until I got into regulated mods that I realized just how inaccurate that cheap 510 ohmmeter I had been using really was.

Scary to think it was being regularly used to calculate builds for single cell mech mods, and a testament to the durability and longevity of name brand high discharge cells.

Things are easier than most think...... Don't get hyped by how difficult people say shit is..... I make a watermelon, Guava, mango, juice that people have an orgasm after a Vape...... It's simple shit specially with that app. That helps you make coils and juice......
