In order to answer your question regarding the wattage. What coil are you using?
Is your eJuice really sweet? That would explain the gunking of your coils.

I'm running dual twisted kanthal a1 24g 2.5mm 6 wraps .17ohm 50w.
I'm running strawberry juice roll-up. 80vg 20pg.
Was at 50w, am now at 45w.

Your coil build requires more wattage, due to the twisted 24g wire. I don't know your eJuice, but as mentioned, sweet juice will gunk up coils rather quick. However, I ran the build through the steam engine. It looks like you should be using at least 75W.
