So from what I can see so far many people are using crock pots to speed up the steeping process. My question is is this effective? At what temperature should I set my crock pot at? For how long to I keep my juice inside the crock pot? Do I keep the cap on my juice bottle or cap off? And how full should the water be ? Any help would be much appreciated everyone.

Thanks,
Ziggy

150 degrees, which you can usually achieve on the lowest setting of your crockpot with the lid cracked. Keep the lids on! Four hours is usually the equivalent of a couple of weeks. I aim not to do more than 4 hours, but I've left custards in overnight (accidentally) with good result! The water should be around the level of the juice in the (glass) bottle.

Get ready for 50 different opinions. I use it to help the PG, VG, Nic and flavors mix together. I usually set the crock pot on low with the lid off. I try to stay between 120 to 140 degrees. I leave the bottle caps on and shake them every half hour. I'm not sure there is anything that beats time for steeping but I think the crock pot helps.

If you have a temp probe crock pot, once it reaches 150, it'll keep warm at the proper temp without the probe. That's what I do.

I also use the crock pot for larger batches, but if I'm mixing up a tiny batch (1 or 2 small 5ml. test bottles), I use my coffee cup warmer plate for that. The temp stays a bit lower at around 115, but it works for the smalls.

Tried your 4 hours@150° on some AM4A tobacco and it worked great.
