Okay so I bought the crown tank at a vape expo got it for a decent price so I don't want to complain. But if I take long hard hits I sometimes get a burnt taste. I also noticed that my coil goes from .25 to .29 when taking longer drags. Yes I primed my coil I'm not new to this lol just trying to figure out what's going on. I'm vaping the dual coil .25 I believe what wattage would be recommended for this coil? In my opinion if the herakles tank was top fill I wouldn't want any other tank lol but since I have the crown I want to use it but I want it to perform like everyone says it does.

Those are my favorite coils for the Crown, and I vape them around 65-70 watts. I believe you can go up to 120 on them, but that's too hot for me. I use DIY juice about 85% VG in mine.

You don't prime these coils like other coils, in my experience. I prime mine more like I used to prime cartos for cartotanks, and make sure it's saturated before I first use it. Then start low wattage and ramp up gradually.

... is just straight physics. All metals increase resistance as they're heated. I don't know if a change of 0.04 ohms is normal, for this kind of coil, but I would not be surprised.

I primed them even let them
Sit for six hours and started at 30 watts took smalL mouth hits then bumped up 5 watts and repeated until I maxed on my devices (75w)

I've had a couple of could get burnt-out quickly for some reason. Don't know if it's the high vg or high wattage I'm running. I find the tc coil do a lot better. Maybe we have to much air drying the coils out faster? Overall though this is the best tank I've ever had.

How are you priming them? These coils do well with several drops of juice added to the top quite a few times over the course of perhaps 10-15 minutes.

That said, I just put in a new 0.25 coil yesterday that is already tasting burned. And it was primed with probably 1ml of juice. The rest of the coils in that box have been fine so far!

I used a decent bit of juice to prime them then let them sit closed air flow took hits without firing opened air flow took hits I did everything I could to get these things to prime and it's not every hit I get good hits then I get the occasional dry hit I noticed that the bottom of the tank by the air flow gets hot and I mean I really hit it hard trying to get air in at high watts

Perfect - that's the video I was hunting for to show you!

So, try two things: take a pin and poke holes in each side and then four more holes around the top. Apparently there was a bad batch of coils that went out, but this does seem to solve the issue.

Failing that, try another coil. As I said, I had one that didn't perform well out of a box! I didn't get dry hits at all, just a juicy, burned taste (weird).

Thanks for all the help I poked the holes gonna let it sit for the night since I have to work tonight. Gonna slap on old trusty (my herakles) and vape on the crown in the morning and see how it goes.
