Cubis spitback

Hello everybody. I bought a mod that came with a cubis last week. My first few hours of vaping were great with it. However, now that it has rested overnight the spitback is unbearable. I looked up videos online about how to avoid it, but none of those tips seem to apply to a standard cubis.

Are there any tips on how to clear this out at all? 15watts 1.5 ohm coil.

Try blowing lightly into the coil before you hit it. This may force excess juice back into the cotton before you inhale. Just be cautious to not blow too much or too hard as this could force juice out of the cotton, drying it out, and leading the coils to burn out

Thanks murse. This seems like a common issue and is only resolved by cleaning g thoroughly and a very tedious priming process... it is soooo flooded though

Cleaned it out... followed some instructions I found online about proper priming...seems a little better now. I am running 50/50 soooo I imagine that floods easier

It might. It's more viscous. Higher vg makes it more like a syrup. Maybe try 70/30 on the next one. I personally run 88/12 minimum, sometimes 90/10. Benefit of making your own juice, you can customize every aspect of your vape to perfectly fit your need

...was trying 50 50 to see if vg was the issue

Yeah VG makes a very dense vapor. That's how "cloud chasers" get the plumes of vapor. But maybe try bumping the juice to 70/30 to get rid of that spit back

One of my favorite brands is 70/30 so I will see how it goes.

That 1.5 coil has a very restrictive draw and I think more juice gets pulled into the wicking on that one than the other coils because the vacuum needs to pull from somewhere once it is pulling max air through that small hole.

That's my wife's favorite coil. When I put a new coil in, I don't prime. Putting the coil and top on presses juice up into it on the last thread or two as you screw it on and it's sealing up. I let it sit for 5 minutes and it's good to go.
Also per the manufacturer, if the coil is flooded flick it upside down towards the floor to fling whatever excess juice may be pudding up in the base of the coil.

That 1.5 coil also needs a little more than 15w to vaporize all the juice that's being drawn in so try 16w to 18w.
