Cuboid Mini seems to hit funny

Question from a newbie here, thanks for letting me in haha.

I quit smoking recently and have been using the Kangertech Subvod which I really liked for the most part. Decided today that I wanted to get something else as I have enjoyed it so far so I grabbed a Cuboid Mini. I started with the .25 coil and it ended up getting flooded (or whatever the proper term is) pretty fast. So I threw in the .5 just so I could see what it hits like.

But man it feels like both hit harsh as hell in comparison, not sure if I have a setting wrong or if its just that different? I have friends running crazy mods and none of theirs burn like this does, it's pretty annoying and not even usable honestly. Just wondering if I have something set wrong or if I'm missing some random crap in the device haha.

I appreciate it!

Currently at 22w, I found the vent thing as well which changes things. But I think that is enough nicotine for a few, oops!

I don't have that mod but usually flooding is caused by a gasket not seating correctly or an air leak someplace. If a vacuum can't form above the liquid it will run out the bottom or spatter in your mouth. You also may have burnt the coils.

Yea the .25 coil seems to be done already which is annoying but whatever, the .5 is ok I think. The heat setting helps for sure, it was at 600 degrees but when I turned it down that seems to help with the throat burning. I'll mess with it again in a bit.

Both those coils are SS so they will work in both power or temp mode but 600F??? try 420 or so. Do they work ok in power mode, start about 20 watts and move up until you get a nice vape.

Don't know why this posted as a quote but ........

Yea 420 is definitely better no question, thanks. It just makes me cough hard as heck lately (power mode too) when I try to take a big breath in, where my subvox only did the first couple times I hit it.

Another thing I just found that helped was switching the mouth piece. Now I'm using the one that came with some swirls inside, it has cut down the burning feeling in my throat. It's still not quite what I'm looking for, but Just on the odd chance someone reads this with a similar problem.

I have had two cuboid minis as well as the original cuboid, the cuboid mini uses the cubis tank. The .25 coil I'm assuming is the notch coil and 22 watts isn't enough power. Yes these are know to have spit back problems when u refill. Turn it up side down hold the fire button and blow In the drip tip untill the juice that flooded the coil come out or u hear that it stops gurgling. As far as the burn idk are you making sure to prime your coils? Make sure you do. Also turn ur watts up to like 45 and ur temp down from 600 to 400 play with the settings untill you find what u like. The cuboid mini is a great little device

Yea the .25 was the Notch, I had the wattage higher but I don't remember where now, the current watts is for the .5 coil. Didn't know about turning it upside down so thanks, I planned on getting more of the .25 tomorrow just because people seem to like it. I primed my coils but maybe not long enough time sitting or something, the burn seems to be mostly gone now. I like it so thanks for the tips, I'll keep em in mind tomorrow!

What is your nicotine level in your eJuice? Lower nicotine makes for a smoother vape, similarly higher VG level.
The coils can flood easily when filling the tank with too much liquid. Mine hasn't had the mark for the fill level, so I had my coil flooded several times, until I found the proper fill level. The coils also need some break in time.

I'm at 6mg of Nicotine for now, eventually it'll go lower but I haven't been on this long. Mine has no mark either but I saw where to roughly call the max line so I should be ok there in the future.
