Ordered in August and keep getting reasons why it's not done. Starting to get real suspicious so I thought I'd ask here first

I didn't order one- came damn close but was waiting to see how people fared out. I've heard similar stories from some folks that he was way over booked. Another member here had cancelled.

Yea, Order was placed and paid for on 08/11/2015 with 4 week leadtime. I expected a few week leadtime. So now that I have been pressing hard for delivery. Its always this or that happened and it will be done next week. I am now very curious to know if this guy is legit. Before ordering, I did a scam check and others were posting that it did take a bit but fuck creative scammers will find a way to get you. Just not sure anymore and cant get this guy to answer the most easiest question of when will it be done

Dude, there is just no excuse. If it's in demand, and there is a line, just say what it is. And if it is past due, or way past due, then answer a fucking question. I thought Vapor Lips was a regular big outfit. I know a lot ordered.

I cancelled an order with another builder. Not ready for prime time. Maybe I'll be back when he has a record of having his shit together. Maybe Vapor lips is just a bit Web site.

I actually rarely step in and insert things about a company I haven't purchased or owned a product from.. but I sent him an email 2 weeks ago. Asking for a quote on a custom mod and listed my requirements and asked for a realistic time frame with it being on the latter end of that time frame. And I was quickly emailed back and got my price quote with a reassuring 3 week max wait til the mod would reach my door. ..... I was hesitate and was still actually pondering...butttt

I've delt with the guy before he started vapor lips. He seems like a stand up guy. Hes probably overwhelmed. Its just him and his brother making the mods. I'm almost certain.

Yea crisis has been averted. New update states mod is done and will be sending tracking number soon. Let's hope for peaceful solution. Btw pics look pretty nice on it.

Hey man.I too ordered from,vapor lips in August. They kept telling me that things kept coming up and,t become concerned, And contacted David via phone, and he explained his unfortunate predicament.

It sucks to wait I agree, but the man is more than a box manufacturer, he is an artist. Yesterday I woke up to pictures of my completed box

It ships tomorrow.


It is a slow process when ordering from vaporlips, but once i saw my final product, I am more than thrilled.


Don't lose the faith, they aren't scamming just bit off more work than they could handle for a while.

Hope this message finds you and gives you a piece of mind.

Yes it does appear we are in the same time frame. I too received the email with updates and pictures. I am thankful that it turns out to be only a much longer than expected lead time Vs a scamming operation.

I am betting that now things appear to be more on track than they have been at VL, yours will be much quicker than what others have experienced. From their newsletter and actual progress, it's prob going to average around 10 per week. They should be at 240 by Monday. So prob 5 more weeks but let's hope for sooner for ya brother

Very true my friend. I am in the same boat... have many devices to vape on and use and not like I am without but Dammmm waiting on a new sweet custom mod is like a 7 year old on xmas eve........
I am real excited to give this DNA200 with a 3000 (3S Lipo brings it to 9000 mah) battery a work out hahahah

I dont get why anyone would wait that long for a mod. By time you get it the next technology is out and your mod you waited half a year for is obsolete lol. All of my customers have their mods shipped within two weeks, and get emails almost daily with updates and pictures. I guess that's the beauty of being a small business :p

Yes and no since the voltage is higher its 1:1 by watt hours. So its just like saying a 9000 mah. 3000mah @ 11.1v is 33.1ah. 9000 mah @ 3.7v is 33.1 ah. So saying its 9000 mah is accurate :)

Hey... So i ordered just before you and I am in Canada... My box is in the same group as urs in the last set of pics he posted... Here is my box:

So I was excited that I was ticket #222(3rd on the list to be done) after their newly implemented changes in the new year... Saw the box was done.. This was at least 2 weeks ago...

I made some last minute changes from a led fire button to a Otto button and the changes are in the above picture...

david promised me to send my box FedEx overnight since I've waited so long... This was months ago...

Up until lastnight I have been trying to get him to ship my damn box... Over the last week he's been saying "today or tmw"... Yesterday he said he was sick and slept in and he is heading out in an hr to ship my box... 8pm roles around... No email.. So i call him.. No answer... He finally replies saying he's on the phone with a family member he hasn't talked to in years and will get back to me.... 12am roles around.. Nothing... So i sent him a somewhat blunt email saying it's ridiculous and how hard is it to go to FedEx....still no reply this morning...

I've been nothing but nice to him and understanding his situations and excuses.. Whether the box is finished or not. It doesn't matter unless I get it... I am going on vacation this saturday and i told him I'd really appreciate it if I got it before.. But it looks like that's not gonna happen... When I return from vacation and it's not shipped yet I making that 4 hrs drive from Toronto to pick it up myself[/QUOTE]

Not trying to be an ass or anything. If it was me I would set a deadline that it be shipped by. If that wasn't met I would contact my credit card company and explain the runaround I was being put through and ask for them to do a charge back. Patience only goes so far. Good luck guys.

Man, I don't care if the box was touched by Jesus himself and gives a divine vape. I would never ever order from a company like this. They just sent me a quote and I think it's safe to say I will be ignoring it. There is no good reason in the world to treat customers like this. What a poor way to do business.

The only reason i have waited this long is because no one else in the industry can make the same mod in the picture i posted..
the last 6 months i've been looking and searching and none of them have a white option and custom button option with a dan 200

i am a patient person and to run it to the ground takes a lot... i've never waited this long for anything even my car built when i ordered in Japan and shipped on a boat didn't take this long..

I tried calling today but answer.. unlike most mine will be shipped next day service via FedEX...

it's a 3.5 hour drive for me to his place.. is it worth it...the time, the gas.. but that mod looks so nice! hehe

its easy to get tracking at 11pm... if u have a business u just create a label and drop it off..once the label is created u get a tracking but itll say it hasnt been officially handed off to the post office

Lots of delays have occurred, but there's no reason to claim we (VaporLips) are scamming anyone. "VapingDevil", "Johentie", "800thekiller" tell me if you want a refund. I would rather refund your money than have you going around all over the internet claiming VaporLips is full of lies. We have never guaranteed a shipping date, I don't really know what else to say.

You can respond and say that VaporLips is misleading you, telling you to hold on one more day, and one more day...etc. But we have never guaranteed anything. That is something we are extremely strict about, making certain everything is always known as an estimate, or approximation. If it's gotten to the point that you aren't happy anymore, than lets process a refund. It seems unfair reading these things when no one has asked for a refund.

I'm not saying that VaporLips doesn't have our problems, because there are loads of issues that we are ironing out. Now that we have an order number for every customer, this is helping a lot, but we are going one day at a time. We aren't walking around with our noses stuck up in the air, we aren't purposely misleading anyone. Johentie, you've called us a few times a day the last few days, and how many times have we not answered? A couple of times? Have we communicated with you today? Yes we have. It just seems like why would we want to continue business with people writing these things about us, when you haven't communicated your concern with us. At least no more than "It's been a long time, I really want my box". I know a business is NOTHING without their customers, but sheeze guys. Talk to us(VaporLips). Because as I read the things you write here, it sure seems like you want a refund. We aren't withholding your money from you.

Once again, I know VaporLips has a lot to work on. We have a HUGE wait for boxes, and are making that more and more clear with every new customer. With every new customer,they are told what box numbers (order number) we are on, and what number they would be. We are doing our best to be transparent, because it is very clear that we haven't been in the past. We are working hard to become a better business. We respect all the critique that you have to say, and we very much value everything that you have written here and will take it to heart as we continue into the future.

Thanks for ur reply and clarification.. I think we are just frustrated on the waiting game.. You reply with consistency and i never doubted the quality of ur work.. We see how great they are but we just want them in our hands...

I think more then replying to these threads the faster u get the Mods into our hands the more we can start spreading the good word instead of negative and frustrated comments.

Hoping to get my tracking soon

Thank you for jumping in and clearing the air. You are right that there was not a promise but an estimate of an x to y weeks. When months go by past the estimate people do get suspicious because us vapers are easy targets. I do look forward to receiving the mod and spreading the good word. It pleases me to know that new customers are apprised that you are a bit behind and I am sure your ticket system will help tremendously for everyone to stay up to date

LMFAO! Your customers have been waiting for almost 6 months for a box they paid for and you're upset? Wow! I don't have any dog in this fight but it's safe to say I would never order a mod from your company. If I was any one of them I'd take my money back. What nerve. I don't know what makes me smh more, your response or the fact that your two customers let you off the hook so easy. SMFH.
