In addition to the news earlier today of Dave Bautista calling working for Disney post-James Gunn's firing nauseating, Shortlist has released an interview with more details from the Guardians of the Galaxy actor.
In the interview, Bautista, who plays Drax the Destroyer in the MCU, said he asked Marvel to release him from his contract due to the firing of Gunn.
“Nobody’s defending his tweets, but this was a smear campaign on a good man,” Bautista said. “I spoke to Chris Pratt the day after it happened and he’s a bit religious so he wanted time to pray and figure it out, but I was more like: f*** this. This is bullshit. James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met."
