With all the Secret Wars tie-ins currently bandying about, it only makes sense for the recently deceased Deadpool to make an appearance. However, rather than inject himself into Marvel's current events, the Merc with a Mouth instead finds himself in a different Secret War--namely, the 1984 original. Cullen Bunn and Matteo Lolli unite to tell the untold story of what really went down the first time around, offering a not-so-secret look at Deadpool's Secret Wars.
Told from the point of view of ol' DP himself, Deadpool's Secret Secret Wars reveals a simple but shocking truth--not only was Deadpool there during the initial Secret Wars run, but he was an instrumental part in its unfolding events. At least, that's what Bunn would have you believe, the writer offering a unique and wholly inappropriate look at one of Marvel's signature tales. As always, things look a little different when told through Deadpool's eyes, Bunn wasting no time in getting the merc needlessly involved. The writer is able to mine a number of humorous nuggets from Deadpool's interactions with the book's various heroes and villains, his gift for gab as prevalent as ever.
