not just yet...
coil tinkerers will always be around...
old school coil wrappers will always be around...
lets give this new coil a chance, it could die a slow death, or, it could be the new norm...only time will tell

I'd give it a shot, but it doesn't look like it would vape any better than Clapton wire. It may get some traction if the flavor is there.

Not better than clapton? Look at the surface area. If you had said Alien or Framed Staple, those might be competitive. But it's all conjecture for the time being. And it's going to hold a lot of wicking material with the thin sidewalls. I think perhaps it's time to brush up on my soldering skills, when this stuff is available by the foot, will have to attach leads...

The whole reason I got into rebuilding is that the coils back then didn't have the ability to produce decent vapor, at least the way I wanted it and the mass produced ones muted flavor at best, or tasted like shit at worst. There is the economics with wrapping your own coils, a 250" spool of SS316L is cheaper than packs of most subtank coils. It remains to be seen what the price point is on this type of coil. You know it will be priced at what the market will bear, close to the cost of replacement heads for subtanks.

I'll reserve my views when it his the market and gets tested. Hopefully it won't be anything like Vaping Donuts.

The doughnut lol, remember the hype by certain reviewers? Yeah they will gouge as far as the market will bear. Depending on the material, the potential to last a very long time is there and "they" don't want that. I guess in a way I hope it is a bust, don't know what to do with the spools of wire if it works as I suspect it will ;)

Toaster oven repair with Clapton wire I guess.

arent those 5mm ID? I was reading about one that was coming out and it was 5mm id and .25 ohm single. that is gonna limit a lot of RDA/RTA's that it can actually fit into.

Have not seen the specs, but inside diameter is going to be very close to outside diameter considering the very thin walls. A 3.0mm inside diameter alien or fused staple etc. would have close to the same o.d. I would think.
