So I would love to know what sort of RDA would be perfect for you. What features would make an RDA a perfect for you? Sick of looking for that perfect RDA, only to find out that it doesn't exist yet? Frustrated that a feature you love on one RDA Is missing in another? Maybe some manufacturer might see this oneday and make your dream come true!

(PS- who knows, you might be the next blueeyedgoon/twistedmesses ;) )

Go on get creative and crazy and let us know! :vino:

Here is a quick format to get you started but no need to strictly adhere to it at all and add more if you wish. (Or if i have missed out something important) :p

1) Size:
2) Deck Style :
3) No. of post holes per post (if applicable) :
4) Size of Post holes (if applicable) :
5) Airflow Style 1:
6) Airflow Style 2:
7) Driptip:
8) Material:
9) 510 style:
10) Other notes :

I'll start. Here are the Specs for a perfect RDA for me.
1) Size: 30mm
2) Deck Style : Interchangeable deck like this RDA. Velocity Style (2 post Similar to the Temple) interchangeable with a Goon Style deck like this RDA
3) No. Of post holes per post (if applicable) : 3 in velocity style post (just in case i feel like doing something crazy on a particular day on the 2 velocity style posts, else 2 holes are completely fine)
4) Size of Post holes (if applicable) - 3mm (for velocity posts)
5) Airflow Style 1: Tsunami Style Adjustable bottom airflow
6) Airflow Style 2: Adjustable Temple style side air flow
7) Driptip: Wide bore Delrin
8) Material: Stainless steel version and a copper version.
9) 510 style: Adjustable
10) Other notes : Should be Squonkable/Bottom Feed capable definitely! I have no faith in juice wells.:coffee2:

If an atty has all these and I'll pawn my valuables and buy it in a heatbeat, even if I'm broke.:bomb::xD:

My perfect RDA

1) 24mm
2) 2 posts, 2 holes
3) Bottom Fed
4) Top Air Flow (like the Sapor or Aeolus Lite)
5) It'd be short, about the height of a Stumpy
6) Delrin Chuff & 510 adapter
6) Would be made of 316 SS

Why thanks mate. Appreciated it!

Moved to RDA area

Sounds fantastic mate! How is flavor on the sapor to you? Personally I dislike top air flow because it usually reduces the flavor, but i have heard good things of the Aeolus with regard to flavor because of the slightly more restrictive draw. Sounds like what your looking for is something like a Buddha V3, except 24mm and lesser airflow on the sides. :shades:

I actually prefer the Sapor over the Aeolus Lite. I am Cheating tho ( using a Lush base with the Sapor sleeve & cap). The Goon is tied neck & neck with a Stumpy as my favorite. The Tugbaot v2 would be next, followed by the Sapor. My favorite draw on any atty is the Tug v2 with the stock cap. It's the perfect restricted lung hit

I'm still struggling with the Sapor. It just didn't come out right. Tried many kinds and sizes or wire, it wasn't just "there" yet. At the moment, for flavor, I'm enjoying the Nami @0.34 ohm, for clouds, the So Horney by Wild Bull Productions (6 coils) @0.13 ohm and for both, the Succubus @0.24 ohm.

I'm pretty new to RDA's and for me, it's the Tsunami. I love the air flow, it's simple to build with the velocity deck and has a nice, deep juice well. I have a pair of @raymo2u duel fused claptons in there right now (I really need to change them, expect a PM from me later this week) and the vape is fantastic.

The word that describes my perfect RDA is "Achilles."

Single-coil, very tight draw, like a carto or a real cigarette; holds 2.5ml; made of titanium so it weighs hardly anything; never EVER leaks. Flavor so intense, you'd swear you just sucked ejuice into your mouth, but you didn't; throat-hit so intense, if built correctly, you automatically lower your nic and wattage; did I mention, VERY TIGHT DRAW, oh, and bottom airflow, of course.

It is simply perfect. And no longer made by anyone, damn it all to hell and back!

Its so close man, for me. Just not quite:( if it had bottom adjustable airflow then things might be different.

That's quite a pity. Saw it offered on alibaba by severel vendors though. Here is a link to one incase you want to start a group buy

EDIT: o_O so did a quick search and found the Achilles 2 for sale here for €80
EDIT 2: So they seem to be a ukrainian company that makes just small batches of 20/30 rdas for mainly MTL vapors. Saw something call the Eclipse 2 , something like a Tsunami for those that like a tighter draw. Maybe try messaging their facebook and asking if they could get a batch of Achilles done? (I'm sure they would be interested if you could organise a group buy that's large enough)

Already two companies here and here have cloned it :D Wouldn't be surprised if those are backdoor from factories that produced for the creator themselves. Take those pics with a grain of salt though. Looks pretty unconvincing to me.

It bewilders me just how soon cloners clone stuff these days. The KF5 was cloned within days. Makes me think that the designs leak even during production.

If ejuice is eating in to your income, getting into DIY is a good idea mate. ;)

Have a look the the Norris 30mm RDA if so mate. Bigger Atty with same style deck. Might be your cup of tea

I bought an Achilles 2 -- they suck, and not just the price! Not a tight draw anymore, too airy, and the newfangled AFC ring on it sucks too; the hex-key adjustment was better, you could set it and forget it, instead of it getting messed up everytime you took the tank off or took the atty off the mod. I might be able to fix the airy issue; the problem is that they made the airhole under the coil too large; I have some 13ga needles on the way, which might fit that 2.5mm hole pretty well, and cut down the internal airflow enough so that the external AFC adjustment works better, though I'd still have to deal with that annoying AFC ring.

Yeahsmo cloned the originals, I have 2 of those and LOVE them, but they don't make them anymore, or at least, Frog in Fog ain't selling them anymore. :headbang:

So yeah, my "updated" rankings in order is: Goon/Stumpy (tied, slight edge to the Goon), Tugboat V2, Troll V2, Sapor

A 25mm deck.
Bottom AFC with a single coil option, that doesn't condensate on top of the box mod near the air holes.
The usual wide bore delrin + an included friction fit 510 drip tips.

Velocity style deck with 3mm holes and hardened hex screws.

Brass body and silver adjustable pin with shallow screw section 510 and protruding pin.

Deep well.

Easy access to the well without pulling the entire top section out, maybe a two part top section with massive o-rings on the bottom but with easy separation between the two parts.

I saw something like this either on Alibaba or Fasttech during my explorations for a perfect atty. huh let me try to find it again. Saw it along with some other Strange attys like a goon with bottom air flow.

[edit] here is the Goonami 22m aka the "Hyperbolic Curve" rda. Now to find that other one if i can...

I got the aeronaut.
It's everything I wanted in an rda.
It's my go to atty, and so versatile.
Looks interesting. Saw some posts on ECR of a guy converting it into BF as well. How's the flavor and airflow?

PrinceWizdom...
Good flavour and great airflow.
There's a few options with the airflow, I was using it wide open, now I close the bottom airflow rod to about one third open, to give it a slight back pressure, for me that's perfect.
The coil is a bit hard to install until you've done it a couple of times, then it's easy.
It's also unbreakable, there's nothing to break, it's a one piece steel construction.
This atty will last you forever.

I'm with this guy... The perfect dripper for me is one that I don't have to drip. Ever since the exponential improvement of RTAS in 2016, all of my RDAs are seeing a lot more time on the shelf. I basically only use them for testing my diy flavor a anymore. I suppose that they will come back off of the shelf long after vapers doomsday after all of my tanks have shit the bed.
All that being said though, my favorite RDAs from my inventory are as follows...
For flavor... Plume veil 1.5 and TOBH v2
For clouds... OG Kennedy comp with Demon cap
Best of both worlds but shit juice capacity, re dripping every 2 or 3 hits... Mutation V4s
I'm contemplating purchasing a Vapers Cloud Buddha V3 soon but I'm holding off because I don't know how much I'll really use it because I use RTAs almost exclusively as of late...

I did switch from RDAs to RDTAs but then I realized the right RDA with the right build still gives me better flavor then any RDTA, so now I use RDTAs at work and RDAs at home.
Still doesn't mean that I like the process of dripping.

You guys should get in to squonking. The pleasure of using an RDA without the added "pleasure" of dripping. I have a Kanger dripbox 160 my self with a clone of the geekvape tsunami 24 with a glass window (so i can see when my wicks are getting a bit dry). Give 'er a squonk when she's dry and she gets wet as jacuzzi, and away you go.

Actually I am a huge proponent of this Kanger product because it's well made. I highly recommend it. I've got the silver version which is full stainless steel as is a true beauty (temp control works well too). I know their track record maybe not the best but I believe giving credit where credit is due. What's holding you back? Maybe I can clarify any questions you got on it. In the meantime you may not have to wait that long. ( You could also check out the Movkin disguiser with the squonk add-on, but that's too big for my liking. Heck I am a big guy that's 6 '3 and I like big things but that mod just feels- bulky, like the space hasn't been managed to its fullest. Dunno just my opinion)

I did consider the Movkin with squonker kit, but just considered, didn't actually do anything about it and yes I'm still considering.

Haven't been a fan of Kanger for quite a while now, maybe it's because:
A lot of their mods are of low build quality and have paint chipping off.
The fact that the kbox 200 doesn't reach 200W not even close.
The PT4 is nothing to write home about and has nothing to do with the PT line.
The tendency of Kanger to put out way to many models with almost no differences between them.
The fact the the dripboxes come with such a crappy RDA.
The fact that the dripbox 160 is so massive, but is still only suitable for 22mm RDAs.

I've been thinking about it... I was contemplating the KDB 160 but the 22mm only without overhang was a big turn off for me. Also this thread is the first I have heard about the Movkin with the squonking kit. I'll ha e to look into that. 2 cells and the ability to run at least a 24mm atty on top are a must for me...

Geekvape are making 100w 2 batt Squonker. You might want to hang tight for that if not.

I also prefer the picodrip (or whatever it's called) over the original dripbox.
It's just that Eleaf haven't disappointed me as much as Kanger did.
