Hey all-
Just recently got into DIY and I have developed my first recipe that I think is worth sharing.

2% Double RY4 - TFA
2% Desert Ship - FA
1% Oak Wood - FA

Nothing complicated. I like sweet tobacco flavors with a bit of a bite and this fits the bill well. The oak mixes well with the tobacco and adds a freshness to it that I like a lot. I add .5% FA black fire when I make this for my Dad, but I prefer it without the smoke flavor (it takes away from the freshness). This is pretty good after a decent shake, but everything blends better after a week or so.

I really like this as is, but I'm still learning, so I am very open to suggestions for improvement.

Big thanks to HIC and the rest of the FA gang for your notes, tips and recipes. I would never have tried DIY without them!

Thanks Smoky! I've been meaning to ask you about clarification on the vinegar. So apple cider for dark tobacco and white vinegar for light tobaccos, right? How do I determine if a tobacco is dark or light?

I need to add AP on my next order list.

alright.. for break down in tobaccos on light and dark..

most cigars and "normal" tobaccos use apple cider vinegar..
the lighter tobaccos, like English tobacco, shade.. anything that is "light" in taste, not heavy.. uses the white vinegar..

i have been playing with the vinegar uses for over a year now..
to me, when used right, it tastes a lot better..

do a few trials.. play around.. find what you like the best..
you might find you do not even like vinegar in your juices..
but then again, using additives as they are intended, to me, just makes the plain 2d vapes just that..
they tend to pop and shine..

i even went as far as making a real citrus tobacco vape that just slaps your tongue for taste! :D

4% English Tobacco tfa
2% Oryental 4 fa
2% Citrus Mix fa
1% Lime cold pressed fa
.5% white vinegar
.5% Malic Acid

be prepared for some serious tongue slapping.. :p

thing is, we can all wish for that tobacco taste..
but I have come to turn to the tobaccos as more of a filler than anything else.. :)
Thanks Smoky!

I see what you're saying w/ tobaccos being filler. Even in this "tobacco" recipe, there really isn't a true tobacco flavor, it's more of a flavor profile.

I'm working on a mint/vanilla mix that uses some tobacco as filler. I'll be posting that once I can perfect it.

the secret is to keep playing with a recipe..
once you get a main or "top" flavor profile, it's easier to fill in the rest.. :)

This is a great vape bluraff3! I did add the Blackfire and it suits me perfectly. This may have just become another ADV for me, along with the RY4 by Rocketpuppy. I had been wondering what I could add to that RY4D from TFA to jazz it up and you provided the answer. Good stuff!

Dumm question again:
.5% ap ......... would ap be apple??

Yeah, just make sure you use it sparingly, it's STRONG! Used it on HiC's Swiss Bliss the other day and the juice is AMAZING but that buttery, popcorny smell has taken over my office! LOL!

I just tried to add 3 drops to a 30ml recipe but my third drop turned into a squirt. Ruined it!

No! Surely you can boost everything else to compensate, I HATE throwing it away! (Unless it's vomity-tasting Moo Juice...) How far in are ya?

This is a good one I found from The Vape Book, but VERY sweet! I did this as 10ml, but should have used 10ml percentages for 15ml, maybe 20. It's rich and creamy, but picks up momentum as it steeps:

RWhy4
10% RY4 Double
5% Caramel Candy
5% Bavarian Cream

I mixed it as is and tried it. No good. Its just sitting on my desk. I'm going to try it in a few days to see if it's better steeped. If it's not, I'll split it up and adjust.
