Today I was checking out a new b&m in my home town, a lady came in needing replacement coils. I overheard her tell the owner what she was looking for and the owner was trying to sell her the wrong coils because he didn't have what she needed in stock. I spoke up and told her that those coils would not work for her tank. She told me thank you and left without buying anything. The owner did not look happy with me. I just thought it would be best for me to speak up before the lady bought bunch of protank 3 coils for $4.00 each and get home and they not work in her tank. I am just wondering if I did the right thing or should I have kept my mouth shut and minded my own business?

I would have just looked at the owner and said ... "Well that saved you an angry conversation later this afternoon" and chuckled ...

Sad part is he may not have even known... But he may have just been being a dick with a "no return" policy...

I really don't thing he knew they wouldn't work. And it wasn't like I was pimping out another store. The owner had told me earlier that he was gonna order more stuff when he found out what people wanted and needed. So maybe I saved him from losing a future customer.

Nah you're fine. Awkward situation tho, for sure.

PS since we're on the subject I was wondering, can I use a regular single 2.2 coil in my Mini PT 3? I have some of the dual 1.5s coming but I have one of my fave juices in there now so it's prolly gonna go nasty before they get here.

You absolutely did the right thing.

You helped the customer when the person behind the counter could not and you helped the business avoid bad blood with the customer!

I say yes & no. Yes, because you saved the customer from dealing with the hassle & frustration of getting the wrong thing. No, because it would've been a good idea to inform her that you can order some. In the meantime, maybe buy a different tank/clearo to get her by until the order comes in. That entire "no" is assuming that none of it was offered. I don't know, I wasn't there.

But overall, I'll lean towards yes you did the right thing. Sounds like she thought so, since she said thank you before leaving.

I'd be glad if I was about to be sold anything that isn't right and someone stepped in.
