Disassembling Taifun GT ??

I've bought several of these over the last couple years. Really love them.

Does anyone here know how the base is put together? I'd like to take them apart for rebuild and possible modification to improve airflow. I don't know if the post section is screwed into the base or press fit. Don't want to get too wild until I know what I'm doing.

Thanks Huckleberried. Those mods got done right away, probably before the devices even got used. Still would like to figure out how to get that base apart though. Pretty sure if I could get down in there I might get just a little more.

I've got enough of these things that I just might get radical to figure it out.

On the other hand, the Hurricane RTA might be the ticket. It's constructed in identical fashion. Got one in my cart right now.
