Thanks, Amanda. Yeah, it's kind of like a water stain. I just wanted to be sure they weren't going to leak out or something. My 3 Sony VTC5s all have what look like water marks on them. But they work fine! There was a thread over at The Other Place about this and the Sonys, but nobody had a problem with performance.

Hmmmm.........it's more like a shadow or water stain. But Amanda posted above as well and it seems that other people have these discolorings and it's nothing to be concerned about. ThanksI have two vtc4s that had little black spots on them. Once I took the wrapper off, it was just on the wrapper with a teeny bit on the metal, but no pitting or holes in the metal. Nothing wrong with the batteries, just a discolored wrapper. They are re wrapped now and doing fine.
Hmmm.......I've heard of Trustfire batts but not Tangsfire. My LG he2 discolored, too. I'm not sure I'm too happy with that LG anyway. It seems to discharge faster than my other batts of similar specs. I wonder if the new LG he4 is better? You know anything?Im sure moisture plays a part, and heat also plays an equal part. The green vtc wrappers are the only ones I see doing this. I have baby blue samsungs, purple efests, and yellow 'tangsfire' that have not discolored, only the green sonys.
(ps. dont buy tangsfire batteries)
Thanks, dre. You know anything about the new LG he4? Don't know if I'm imagining it but it seems that my LG he2s discharge faster than my other batts with similar specs. My 25r show spots that eventually go away. My vtc4 always had spots.
Thanks, dre. Good to know I'm not imagining things againYeah mine discharge faster then my 25r
