Disney+ has added a content warning to the details section of the first episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi following the tragic and horrific Texas school shooting in Uvalde that says "there are certain scenes in this fictional series that some viewers may find upsetting."

As reported by Deadline, this warning is specifically for the opening of Obi-Wan Kenobi's first episode, but it has already changed once since the episode premiered earlier today.

"Although this fictional series is a continuation of the story from Star Wars movies filmed many years ago, some scenes may be upsetting to viewers in light of the recent tragic events,” the note in the details area previously read. “Warning: Contains violence involving children.”

There is no warning before the episode airs, and it only can be seen by going specifically to the details tab of the episode. Disney did state that it was working on adding a warning to the beginning of the episode as soon as possible.

"In light of recent tragic events, we recognize there are certain scenes in this fictional series that some viewers may find upsetting and a content warning has been added to the show page,” a Disney spokesperson told Deadline today. “We are also working to add an advisory in front of the series as quickly as possible."

Netflix did a similar thing with the Season 4 premiere of Stranger Things, and that warning appears before the Season 3 recap in the season's first episode for those in the U.S. only.
