Here’s some bad news for your wallet: Disney+ is getting a price hike on December 8. That’s when the ad-free service, which currently costs $7.99 per month, will go up to $10.99 per month. But if you sign up for an annual membership now, you’ll lock in the current price for a whole year.

Sweetening the deal, the annual price is cheaper than 12 months paid month-to-month. Between now and December 7, new subscribers and current month-to-month memebers can get a 1-year Disney+ membership for $79.99. The price goes up December 8, so make sure to lock in the current, cheaper price before then.

Disney+ 1-Year Subscription for $79.99

In case you’re not familiar with the offerings on Disney+, it has a lot. It has pretty much all the content from Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Pixar, National Geographic, The Simpsons, and a bunch of original shows and movies.

Andor, my favorite show of the year, is currently airing week by week on Disney+. It’s a phenomenal prequel series to Rogue One. The animated series Tales of the Jedi also just started. She-Hulk recently completed its first season. Hocus Pocus 2 went up not long ago.

Upcoming shows include Secret Invasion, Loki season 2, X-Men ’97, Daredevil: Born Again, The Mandalorian season 3, Ahsoka, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and more. There’s pretty much always something new debuting week-to-week on Disney+. Plus, Marvel, Pixar, Disney, and Star Wars movies appear on the service not too long after their theatrical debut.

Disney Plus Ad-Supported Tier

Also on December 8, Disney is adding an ad-supported tier to Disney+, which will cost $7.99 (the current price of the ad-free tier). If you like paying less and you don’t want ads for the next year, time is running out to lock in a 1-year membership at the current price.
