DIY After Taste ?

Hi y'all!!!

Very new to DIY, 2 weeks DIYer, I've mixed several - some are good some are bad some are very bad
I guess there's a lot I need to learn, need to get hang of and get to know my flavors and cons..

The question I have is...
I mixed a chocomint flavaaa - its 10 days old to date, taste good when you vape it, however, I kinda feel like there's an after taste of sour, or something I can't explain, (its not that bad - its tolerable - but I feel like there's something wrong with my mixture) I don't know where taste is coming from , if its one of the flavor I use or if its the mix itself,

I used FW Nutella at 4% ; FA Hazelnut at .5% and CAP Chocomint at 6%. base is 60VG/40PG 3mg.

I mixed other juice and I always get that same "after taste" what am I doing wrong? how do I aid this?

help! :(

I'm not sure what other fluids you're using as far as brand names, but here are a few "tips" every DIYer should follow....always shake your fluids before using, especially flavors. Some components in flavorings can separate and settle in their bottles as they sit. Make sure you give everything a good shake before use. Always make sure your fluids are not exposed to heat, humidity, or sunlight for prolonged periods, especially nicotine.
There's always the possibility that you're using too much of one of your flavorings. Over-flavoring can give very unpleasant results.

I've gotten bad VG that tasted sour or rancid. Test this by vaping some by itself and smelling inside the bottle. Its not uncommon and many vendors will exchange it for a different batch if you've not used a lot of it already.

I personally find PG to have a bitter aftertaste which is why I switched to max VG mixing. As others have mentioned, try tasting each individual component separately, perhaps with the exception of the flavoring since you are noticing this with all your mixes, and maybe try a higher VG concentration.

All CAP Chocolate flavors have a strange aftertaste, to me anyway.

Have you tried any other mixes without using any Chocolate?
FA Chocolate & Cocoa don't have that taste, and are much better Chocolates IMO.

And FA Hazelnut is a bit on the woody/sharp side, and FW is sweeter tasting IMO.
FW Nutella I don't have, but some of the other brands are kinda strong so...
