Not sad really, eventually you run out of ideas, and I'm very far behind in terms of testing and refining all the ones I do have. Yes, I am in NC.
In terms of folks retreating from posting recipes, you sorta got at least two groups, the secretive crowd who believe recipes should only be shared in private or in secret groups on Facebook and elsewhere. These folks feel an intense sense of being wronged if someone steals their recipe, claims it as their own, shares it with the public, or sells it.
Then you have folks like myself. who believe all aspects of DIY and of vaping should/ought to be shared with as many folks as possible, cuz its about quitting smoking for me and many others. I don't get butthurt if someone takes advantage of my efforts and my work or makes a million bucks selling my recipes. In fact, I would be very angry if you DID NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE of my labor and the time I have put in, because that why I did it. To help others.
The number of public recipes on E-liquid Recipes (ELR) has tripled in a very short time to well over 6,000, now they have forums as well. So I think those people who were part of the secretive crowd are becoming more so (confirmation bias perhaps), and those who believe in open info sharing are sharing even more.
If a person feels they have been wronged there are at least two ways they can react, they can turtle up and clench their butt cheeks even further and say, that's it, I'm not sharing anymore or only to certain people, or they can say, you know what, I'm not gonna let the actions of a few people distract me from doing what I want to do or what I believe in. The good I've done outweighs the bad things folks do.
So please, if my recipes are not shared everywhere, I shall be very disappointed. If you like them, please share them.
