A new set of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Hasbro toys has revealed a first look at the MCU's take on America Chavez, who will be played by Xochitl Gomez in the upcoming movie.

Announced by Marvel, the new set of six action figures includes three different versions of Doctor Strange as well as Wong, Mordo, and MCU debutant America Chavez, aka Miss America. Owning all six action figures will also give fans the necessary pieces to assemble Rintrah - Marvel's very own green-furred minotaur.

America Chavez first entered the Marvel frame in 2011 when she debuted in the comic mini-series Vengeance. The hero starred as part of the comic book franchise's Teen Brigade but is more commonly known for her role in 2013's Young Avengers where she featured alongside another recent addition into the MCU - Hawkeye's Kate bishop.

Chavez's entry into the MCU feels perfectly timed as part of The Multiverse of Madness. Her powers, which allow her to punch star-shaped portals and travel through them, are sure to come in handy while her additional skills such as super-speed, strength, and toughness as well as the ability to fly are pretty neat added bonuses. For a full rundown of the teen-hero, including where she's from and her origin story, you can check out our full America Chavez breakdown.

In other recent Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness news, it was recently reported that the movie is undergoing serious reshoots. News of the additional filming came in early November where reports suggested that members of the cast were working six days a week for six weeks to capture the new footage. It's unclear at this stage what the reshoots mean for the production. However, before fans begin to panic, one source close to the movie claimed that there have been “bigger reshoots on other MCU movies”.

The film is being directed by Toby Maguire Spider-Man director Sam Raimi and Loki writer Michael Waldron is penning the new material for the additional scenes. While the reshoots may not indicate any issues to the film's final cut, Doctor Strange 2 has already featured a turbulent start after Marvel announced that Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson would not helm the sequel due to creative differences.
