Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Hits Disney+ This Month

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might have come out in theaters at the beginning of May, but starting June 22, you’ll be able to stream it on Disney+ from the comfort of your own home.


Its jump to Disney+ is on-trend alongside past releases which have seen films like Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings go to the streaming service a couple of months after the film’s theatrical release.

The sequel to the 2016 Marvel movie starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the then Sorcerer Supreme. The follow-up also stars Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch following her adventures in WandaVision.


The new Doctor Strange film crossed the $800 million mark worldwide late last month and has since surpassed The Batman as the highest-grossing film domestically this year. The film’s success at the box office has even happened without a release in China, Russia, or Ukraine.

In our review for the new Doctor Strange, we called it a “Sam Raimi movie from top to bottom, for better and worse” and praised it for “a score that’s to die for” from composer Danny Elfman.
