Does higher nicotine content affect flavors?

Would a 3mg nic mix taste significantly different than a 24 mg nic mix? If so, would just increasing the amount of flavorings in the recipe solve this?

From my personal experience I have found making a Zero into a 3MG made it taste better but raising from 3MG to 24 would just be a harsher vape with a lot more throat hit.

Remember this is my personal opinion based on only my experience.

a major difference in 3 and 24, upping the flavor wont really help, maybe slightly but probably will just end up with that over flavored sting on top of the Nic hit. would lowering the Nic be an option instead of upping flavor?

As I went down the ladder I noticed the same flavor I used improved alot. Ive also upped flavor and had bad experiences. You wont get the same great flavor of a 3ml juice with that much more nicotine.

I could probably go down to 18 but any less would be pushing it.

The lower the nicotine the better the flavor.

Adding more flavor would make your recipes more harsh.

Better flavor and more flavor are not the same thing.

Nicotine is harsh and flavors are harsh. Adding more flavor to high nicotine would likely not have the desired effect.

What device are you vaping? And what wattage? 18-24mg would be higher end on an ego device. If you are rocking more than 20watts, try a bottle of 8mg just for kicks. Since you diy, can always add more. U might be pleasantly surprised.

Depends on your definition of "significantly" and the nic. used.

Do you feel the Pea under the mattresses? :)

Is the nic. high quality, not TH and virtually tasteless?

Using unabused, Chemnovatic based nic., I've mixed from 3-26mg and currently vape 16-18mg. I see no reason to adjust flavor amounts.

If you can easily taste your nic. in a 3mg mix and then make the same mix at 24mg; I've found that no vast flavoring additions will mask the nic.
YMMV

I am using a Smok micro one and nautilus X tank. The wattage is at 9. That's the wattage the guy at the vape shop said to use.

If you have a suggestion for a different device and tank that would work better with lower nic levels and still satisfy the craving for higher nic, I'd be interested.

Then you should be good with your nicotine amount.

Are you making diy juice? Or trying to modify a store bought juice?

Since you are looking for more flavor, it is possible you have vapors tongue. Best thing to do is rotate different juices and stay hydrated. Vaping the same juice over and over, you will eventually taste it less and less. Kinda like if you live on a pig farm, you don't smell it anymore.

When I used higher nicotine, and especially when I used WTA, I found that I needed more sweetener. Since I've finished with WTA, and decreased my nic level to 3mg, my flavoring levels have only decreased slightly, but my need/desire for sweetener has decreased DRASTICALLY -- from 2.5% to maybe .25% -- an order of magnitude!

I am currently using store bought juice. I made an order for DIY supplies yesterday. I have been using the same flavor for a while. I'll try a switch and see if that helps.

I run my Nuatilus X tank at 14 watts for the lowest and surprised the Vape Shop recommended so low for that tank. Which coils are you using as I use the U-Tech 1.5Ω coils.

They are Aspire coils. The side says 1.50 14-20W. I didn't notice that before. I'll up the wattage bit. For some reason he said not to go higher than 9.

Higher wattage seems to have solved the problem. I got a backup today. Now I'm running a Nautilus Cleito at 40 watts with a 6mg juice. I can really taste the flavor and I think I'm getting enough nicotine. I'm burning a lot more juice, but that's not really a problem my DIY supplies should be here soon.

IMO yes. Regardless of the quality of NIC, it changes the way eliquid tastes. (not just the nicotine hit/sensation but the actual flavor) Why? I have no idea.
