Dominion: Season 2 Premiere Review

While hardly perfect, Dominion's first season was far stronger than any TV series based on a movie as forgettable as Legion had a right to be. The show overcame many of its growing pains over time, setting the stage for a second season that would be bigger, better, and more unpredictable than the first. If this premiere episode is any indication, Season 2 will live up to that promise.

"Heirs of Salvation" picked up a couple months after the previous episode, with some characters clearly having been more productive than others. For Alex (Christopher Egan), the show might as well be taking place a few days after the finale for all his situation has changed. He began the episode still a prisoner of the archangel Gabriel (Carl Beukes), no closer to deciphering his mysterious markings than he was before. Michael (Tom Wisdom), meanwhile, has apparently taken to aimlessly wandering the wilderness after killing Becca and abandoning the city of Vega. The biggest changes took place in Vega itself, with Claire (Roxanne McKee) firmly entrenched in her new leadership position and butting heads with the conniving David Whele (Anthony Head).
